Andreas started at Heinl's in 1994 and has spent the intervening years learning about and enjoying the instruments, bows (and characters) that come through the shop. Andreas can offer verbal appraisal for you, make recommendations and estimates for repair, and assess your specific needs to find the best solution in a string instrument, a case and a bow. Whether you are at the beginning of your journey with a student, or ready to move to an antique instrument, Andreas is a good resource. He understands the setup of an instrument and the unique effect a certain string can have. And he is familiar with many of the professional musicians and teachers in our community for referral. Outside of work Andreas enjoys traveling, cycling, reading, and playing the keyboard music of Al & D. Scarlatti.
