Appraisals We welcome all inquiries, whatever the need. Consultation, expert opinion, insurance or estate purpose. We offer free verbal appraisals for instruments and bows brought in for our inspection. For out of town or out of country clients, send detailed photographs either 35mm or digital jpeg. Please contact us prior to taking the photographs and we will help with technical advice for best results. Even with high quality photographs, it may be necessary to ship the items for final study before a proper appraisal can be given. Estate appraisals - $250.00 per hours, plus expenses. Condition report and expert opinion - $250.00 Written appraisal for insurance or estate purpose - $120.00. Updating previous appraisals - $84.00 Please note that insurance companies recommend updating your appraisals every two years, so as to minimize any loss in value should an accident occur.
